I discovered this group thanks to a friend that send me this CD. This British group was formed in 2007, but years before release this first album. It is interesting to hear during 52 minutes how the guys balance old traditional thrash metal in the vein of Testament/Metallica with newer sounds. During some tracks they thrash really hard without losing the sense of melody ("Eternity"), in others they show more the modern aspects ("Fracture"). The musicians are very competent and the general sound is really good.

It is interesting to hear during 52 minutes how the guys balance old traditional thrash metal in the vein of Testament/Metallica with newer sounds. During some tracks they thrash really hard without losing the sense of melody ("Eternity"), in others they show more the modern aspects ("Fracture"). The musicians are very competent and the general sound is really good.
There is a track that is very interesting: "Embers" with three minutes that divide the album, a relaxed and semi-accoustical song. The energy and aggression in general are remarkable in all songs, maybe my favorite it's the closer "Schizophrenia" with ten minutes of high quality. Sanity Burns has one high point, they balance really reaaly good the older and modern thrash metal sounds. Very recommended if traditional thrash metal is your business.

Descubrí a este grupo gracias a un amigo que me envió este CD. Este grupo inglés se formó en el 2007, pero años después lanzan este disco. Durante cincuenta y dos minutos resulta interesante escuchar como estos tipos balancean el thrash tradicional viejo onda Metallica/Testament con sonidos más "modernos". En algunos tracks suenan bien thrasheros sin perder el sentido de la melodía ("Eternity"), en otros muestran más el factor moderno ("Fracture"). Los músicos son muy competentes y el sonido en general es bueno
Hay un interesante tema: "Embers" que con sus tres minutos "divide" el álbum siendo una canción semi acústica y relajada. La agresión y energía promedio son marcadas en todos los demás temas, tal vez mi preferido sea el que cierra el CD "Schizophrenia" con sus diez minutos de alta calidad. Sanity Burns posee un atributo interesantísimo, balancean muy pero muy bien la vieja escuela de las bandas ya mencionadas con sonidos thrasheros más modernosos. Muy recomendado si el thrash metal derechito es lo tuyo.
